Who I Am
I'm Jen Rego, a multimedia designer and content strategist based in Sacramento, California. I help mission-driven businesses and organizations tell their stories through brand identity, print and web design, photography, and thoughtful visual content.
At 18, I entered a contemplative monastic community, where I spent a few years learning to see beauty in stillness, simplicity, and everyday things. That experience still shapes everything I do — to me, every piece of visual work deserves focus and respect. After leaving, I dove into art history and photography, figuring out how images tell stories that stick with people.
Over the past eight years, I've worked as a multimedia specialist and designer for educational organizations, nonprofits, and mission-driven brands. I’ve run social media campaigns, edited videos, designed posters and brochures, helped create brand identities. Every time, I ask myself: how do we tell this story so it feels real, honest, and touches the folks who most need to see it?
What Drives Me
I believe the best work happens when there's genuine purpose behind it. I'm drawn to businesses and organizations that care deeply about what they do - food businesses that nourish people intentionally, craftspeople who build things meant to last, community-focused organizations, and businesses that value quality and intention over speed. Good design, to me, should be like a hive: purposeful, carefully structured, and built to last.
How I Work
Always as a collaborator. I take time to really understand who you are, what you’ve built, and where you want to take things. Every project starts with listening and learning, digging into your audience and figuring out what makes you stand out — before designing anything. From there, I put together visual work that’s rooted in strategy and has room to grow with you: flexible enough to expand when you do, but strong enough to anchor your brand for the long haul.

I've always loved visual storytelling. At 18, I entered a contemplative monastic community, where I spent a few years learning to see beauty in stillness, simplicity, and everyday things. That experience shaped how I approach visual work - with intention, attention to detail, and a deep respect for what's being created. After leaving, I pursued art history and photography, deepening my understanding of how we tell stories through imagery.
Over the past eight years, I've worked as a multimedia specialist and designer for educational organizations, nonprofits, and mission-driven brands - managing social media campaigns, editing video content, designing print collateral, and building visual identities - always asking the same question: how do we tell this story in a way that's true, beautiful, and connects with the people who need to see it?

How I Work
I work collaboratively and take time to understand who you are and what you've built - and where you're trying to go. Every project starts with discovery: listening, gathering, understanding your audience, and what makes you distinct before a single thing is built. From there, I create visual work that's rooted in strategy that leaves room for growth - flexible enough to expand as you do, strong enough to last.
